   Mark Martinez
   Director,
   Print & Interactive

In a few years, look for Mark’s name in the literature section at Barnes & Noble. (“Although,” he says, “I’ll be happy if I make it to the bargain section.”) While we can’t imagine why anyone would rather be a world-renowned novelist than a RESPONSE employee, we’re fortunate to benefit from his talents in the meantime.
Mark works hard to keep every project at RESPONSE in motion, and keeping us focused on quality and our bottom line. He spends his day managing web and print projects, and writing and editing code and copy.
Mark's nearly obsessive about making sure your job is completed on-time, on-budget and without hiccups. Even if that means searching three pages of legal text for typos, a Sunday morning press check or fixing a coworker's’ computer––Mark is always up to the task. (Although he swears he just "loves the challenge.")
Mark graduated from the University of Utah with a double major in Marketing and English. His background includes retail sales, work for a non-profit videogame website, freelance proofreading, writing, and editing, and years of fiction and academic work..
When Mark isn’t at the office he spends time writing, watching a basketball game or movie, and talking about writing to anyone too polite to change the subject. You can often catch him reading, or giving free tech support to his friends and family.
